Residences

grantThe Southeast Works Residential Department provides housing opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities through IRA’s (Individual Residential Alternatives). This gives the residents the opportunity to live independently with their peers and promotes decision-making initiatives.

Residential services provide opportunities for each resident to achieve their own personal goals utilizing the person-centered process, which is driven by the resident’s interest, needs and characteristics. Each resident is encouraged to strive for independence, inclusion, individualization and productivity.

Staff supervision is available 24 hours a day to provide various levels of support and guidance to each participant. Staff is specifically trained to assist the residents with their activities of daily living skills which include: cooking, housekeeping, laundry, medication administration, personal hygiene, recreation and social skills. Transportation is provided to medical appointments, personal errands and recreation events.
