After Work Recreation

The After work Recreation program provides low cost recreational activities to individuals with disabilities who currently live with a family member. It is a waiver hourly respite program so the individual must be enrolled in the HCBS Waiver. Participants enjoy a variety of group decided activities, such as cooking classes, bowling, nature walks, mall walking, movies, and much more, with a group dinner choice before heading home.

When does it run?

Afterwork recreation is held Monday- Thursday from 2:30 until 6pm, when we arrive back at Southeast Works. Participants are grouped by residential locations because transportation home is provided after the group meets.

What is the cost?

There is a $5.00 fee per event that covers transportation and admission. The individuals are required to purchase their own food on events.

Is transportation provided?

Yes. We try to group individuals according to where they live, in order to provide accessibility to transportation. Individuals who do not attend the workshop are responsible for transportation to Southeast, and then all individuals will be taken home on our agency vans.
