Family Support Sevices / After Work Recreation

The Afterwork Recreation program provides low cost recreational activities to individuals with disabilities who currently live at home. There is no  need to be medicaid eligible, simply have proof of developmental disabilities. The program is funded by a grant from Family Support Services (FSS).  Participants enjoy a variety of group decided activities, such as swimming, bowling, billiards, mall walking, movies, and much more, with a group dinner choice before heading home.

    When does it run?

Afterwork recreation leaves the workshop every weekday from 2:45 until 6pm, when we arrive back at Southeast Works. Participants are split into bi-weekly groups, based on residential location.

    What is the cost?

There is a $5.00 fee per event that covers everything including admission fee, dinner, and any other expenses. If you can not afford to pay, the fee is waived.

    Is transportation provided?

Yes. We try to group participants according to where they live, in order to provide accessibility to transportation. Participants who do not attend the workshop are responsible for transportation to Southeast. Participants will be taken home on our agency vans.
