Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assisstant needed to interact with the Wrap-Around/High Needs Day Program participants on-site and off-site in group and individual settings. Incumbent will help participants improve their ability to perform tasks in living and working environments; helping participants not only improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. Will assist participants in performing activities of all types, ranging from using a computer to caring for daily needs such as dressing, cooking, and eating, and will evaluate work environments, plan work activities, and access the participant's progress.

Requirements

Must be licensed and currently registered as an OT or COTA by the New York State Education Department. Specialized training or at least one year of professional experience in treating people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
